Rootenza LLC (“Rootenza,” “we,” “us”) makes a household-management app. We take your privacy seriously, and this policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email support@rootenza.com.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password, so we can create and secure your account.
- Your household content — the calendar events, tasks, recipes, lists, contacts, and other information you and the people in your household add. This belongs to you.
- Usage information — basic, mostly anonymous analytics (such as pages visited and device type) collected through Google Analytics to help us improve the product.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the service.
- To send you account and service messages, and — only if you leave them on — daily or weekly summary emails.
- To process payments when you subscribe.
- To understand how the product is used so we can make it better.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers we need to run Rootenza, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare — hosting and storage.
- Google Analytics — usage analytics.
- Stripe — secure payment processing when you subscribe.
- Email providers — to deliver account and summary emails.
Your choices
- Access & export your household data anytime from your account.
- Delete — ask us to permanently delete your household and its data by emailing support@rootenza.com.
- Emails — turn summary emails on or off in your settings.
- Analytics — you can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings.
Children
Rootenza is designed for households. Parents and guardians manage any profiles they create for children; we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access scoped to your own household. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above.
